2022 - A Year In Review...

This has been a most incredible year, both on a professional and personal level.

Professionally, the year was one of output over input. I was fortunate to do my first full year at 14th street music under Lorne Balfe, which has been a great learning experience. I also worked on my own projects as a composer, and pulling those double shifts was an exercise in building stamina (and maintaining sanity!)

I got a chance to write or arrange around 150 cues across 9 TV series, 5 of which are out now (most recently, His Dark Materials Season 3 - HBO/BBC), as well as written scores for short-films, an audio drama, and a very special game project I can’t wait to announce!

With my pals Andrew Scott Bell and the wonderful friends at Joy Music House I got to score one of the short films in the anthology, Give Me An A, which was featured in both FANGORIA and Deadline (bucket list moment!)

I pitched a lot, I missed a lot, and I learned a lot each time.

I also finally pushed the ball forward on a set of EP’s I’ve been writing, and arranged / recorded strings for 9 of the songs earlier this year. Looking forward to finishing those up in 2023!

However, the long work hours were not without its costs, and I’ve missed connecting with a lot of you this year. Just like breathing, the exhale is followed by the inhale, and I’ve been enjoying spending the end of the year reflecting and recharging, soaking inspiration from the joy of being present with my fiancé and family. It’s also reminded me of just how important that input really is, and I look forward to greeting the upcoming year with more balance, and to reconnect with all of you!

Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday, and an even more stellar 2023 to come!

ALBUM RELEASE: A Parable For Winter (OFFICIAL SOUNDTRACK)

Last year, I wrote about 20 minutes of music for a short film, A Parable For Winter, about two brothers who seek revenge for the death of their mother, set in the harsh winters of New Hampshire. It explores morality and one’s own true nature in such a fantastic way, and filmmaker Conor Soucy did such a fantastic job creating an evocative atmosphere with this film! And now, the official soundtrack will be out on all digital outlets FRIDAY MARCH 26, 2021!

I used a string orchestra, and mangled synths/sound design to create a Fargo meets Breaking Bad style score. And now, you can PRE-SAVE on Spotify or PRE-ORDER on Bandcamp HERE
